One of the requests I got from the Reader Survey was to update y’all with the results of featured bike listings. I thought that was a good idea – hopefully you’ve seen in the past that I sometimes update a post with the final sale price, if I’m able to find it. But that requires you to go back in the past. So I’m going to try something new at the end of each month where I look back at what I thought were the most interesting features, and then let you know what the final sale prices were. Let’s take a look at March 2016.
Obviously, this will only include listings from eBay (or other auction sites). I unfortunately have no way of finding out final sale prices of bikes offered on Craigslist/Cycle Trader/Kijiji/etc. With that said, here are some highlights from last month – thanks to reader Eric H, I’m also including locations of the sales as well:
2007 Honda CRF450 Flat Tracker – sold for $7,301 after 46 bids on eBay in Poway, California.
1938 Indian Four Model 438 – sold for $66,100 after 46 bids in Peoria, Illinois.
1952 Vincent Comet Series C – sold for $25,000 after 18 bids in Ormond Beach, Florida.
1976 Kawasaki KZ900 – sold for $10,700 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
1991 BMW R100 Classic – sold for $6,600 after 28 bids on eBay – the seller originally had a BIN of $4,990 so it looks like they did quite well for themselves.
1974 Honda CB360T Custom – sold for $6,700 in Chicago, Illinois.
1970 Ruttman Wild Goose – sold for $800 after 36 bids in Roanoake, Virginia.
1967 Triumph T120TT Special – sold for $14,999 in Los Angeles, California after 28 bids.
1972 Carabela Caliente – sold for $2,600 in White Marsh, Maryland.
AMEN Framed – 1973 Honda CB Chopper – sold for $2,950 in Morganton, North Carolina
1991 Gilera CX125 – sold for $5,900 after 2 bids in Santa Ana, California.
1974 Ducati 750 Sport owned by Jody Nicolas – sold for $19,000 after 13 bids on eBay in Roswell, Georgia.

RK Concepts Bearing – did not meet reserve with 42 bids up to $22,100 in Spring, Texas.
