Brandon Friedman started YSR Daize in 2019 “to bring all YSR 50/80 enthusiasts together to share our love and passion for these little two strokes.” This year the event will be held on July 16-18 at Two Wheels of Suches Lodge in Suches, Georgia, so mark your calendar if you’re nearby (or even if you’re not and you’re nutty about minibikes)!
I love me some YSR (especially with a sidecar!) but I won’t be able to make it out this year.
Despite the name, they appear to be open to minibikes from other manufacturers. My favorite bikes are the ones that have paint jobs emulating the big bikes, like this Honda NSR80 or the Vance & Hines race replica:
Or maybe you prefer the Suzuki GSX-R50 (also known as the RB50)? They were never sold in the US but we’ve just brought a few in from South Africa – we just sold the first one on the auction site today:
If Nathan and I have learned anything about our experience with 50cc-125cc bikes, it’s that they’re much more fun when you’re riding with a buddy or two. So no matter what little bike you show up on, I’m sure you’ll have a great time! Check out the YSR Daize website here for more information and to register!
