Even though there was a limited run of them, there’s been a tremendous amount of the CMC (California Motorcycle Company) replica Captain America bikes (“endorsed by Peter Fonda”) up for sale in the last few months – I suspect that owners were trying to get max value after the original movie bike went on the block for giant money – though it seems that sale didn’t officially go through?
Because I feel like there’s been a bit of a glut of these replicas, I’ve avoided featuring a lot of the bikes I encounter. But here’s an interesting package deal – both a Captain America and a Billy Bike which are a matching #12/750 out of the respective production runs from CMC. It should be noted that 750 was the planned number, but the run was cut short because CMC got the opportunity to build Indians.
The Captain America was signed by Peter Fonda and has 1,128 miles. The Billy Bike has just 382. Both are claimed to look like new.
Find this matching set for sale here on Craigslist for $55,000 (the bikes won’t be separated) in Bonita Springs, Florida.
