Does the name Max Lambky ring a bell? If not, get yourself familiar with the Vincent Streamliner, an incredible Land Speed Record vehicle powered by two Vincent V-Twins. In addition to setting records at Bonneville, he also found some time to apparently build this Black Lightning replica.
First, I’ve got to spend more time with the Streamliner, also known as Lambky’s Liner:

This replica was built between 1990-1996, and in Max’s words, “it was a bitsa bike, the engine coming from British Only.” He goes on into a little bit of detail on this build here on his site (with a bonus mention of reader Somer H!). On Max’s site, he says he never raced it (though the seller says that when he ran into Max at Bonneville, the latter said he ran it at El Mirage and it was good for 135 miles per hour). Max got rid of the bike in 1999, and the current seller got it in 2004.
5 years later, the seller started the bike for the first time, did this:
and then apparently hasn’t started or ridden the bike since. The listing has more photos, but what I’ve used here show the bike as it currently sits – the racing numbers and fuel tank have been restored, but you’ll need to add some fuel line and may want to apply transfers (some included) to the tank before you bring this beauty back to life.
