Post Sale Update: This mini Gixxer sold for $2,225 after 27 bids on eBay.
[x-line]On top of their regular lineups, motorcycle manufacturers like to find ways to reach new targets, notably developing smaller size toys. Honda had the Mini Trail, Kawasaki had the KV, and Yamaha had a street option with the YSR. In the 80s, Suzuki had the RV50 for the dirt as well as a full-faired baby sportbike, the RB50 GAG.
The RB, released in 1986, featured 4 different liveries: pink, bomber plane, “Little Racing”, and a GSX-R replica. Despite the toy-like nature, the RB actually had a proper aluminium box frame, hydraulic disc brake at the front and full-floater aluminum swingarm. The 141 pound bike was powered by a small 4-stroke 5.2hp engine, which made it friendly to ride. Find more information about the RB50 on Suzuki Cycles.
The Mini Gixxer presented here is in very nice condition with about 300 miles at the odometer. The seller claims that the bike is all original and in great working condition, both mechanically and electronically.
