Every year, Walter Barlow visits Martin Moto for the Modern Classic Show, and every year he’s kind enough to bring his camera to share some of the goodies with those of you that can’t make it out. This year he’s got multiple things to share, and he’s starting with some beauties that you could put your in own garage of if you so choose…
Modern Classics Motorcycle Show 2025 – Bikes For Sale
Story by Walter Barlow
On 3/29/25, I attended the Modern Classics motorcycle show that Martin Moto, a multi-line dealer in Boyertown, PA. has been holding for a number of years. The show features motorcycles from the 60s thru to the 90’s and is pretty great.
But that’s not what this is about, lol.
Rather, in keeping with the prime focus of this site, I’m going to post some bikes that were for sale at the show, with contact info.
So, let’s get started.
First up, we have a couple of Yamaha 650’s. Unless you’re an unabashed devotee of all things British, like your food bland, were really hoping that Elizabeth would outlive Charles, and think roadside repairs are the essence of real motorcycling, if you have a hankering for a 650cc Brit twin – buy a Yamaha 650 instead. Your wallet and emotional health will thank you. Full disclosure – I owned a first year (aka the green one) XS650 mostly when they came out – because I knew people that had Brit twins of that era lol. Ok, not the greatest handler in stock trim (responded very well to metal swingarm bearings, good shocks, and lighter fork oil) – but the first year bikes weren’t as bad handling or vibration prone as later models. Besides, these days what you probably want is the look, sound, riding position, and overall period vibe: and at the relaxing pace you’re going to be running, the Yamaha delivers in spades.
1974 TX650A $5,500 Text 610-721-7500. Says full mechanical refresh
1977 Yamaha XS650D $5,800 Text 610-721-7500. Also says full mechanical refresh
But if you insist on the full Brit experience, in a traditional Triumph color. Stick some lights on it to keep it legal. The police won’t know the difference. Probably.
1967 Triumph TT, $14,800, Text 610-721-7500, Says starts & runs great!
For folks into old dirt bikes – a very popular model back when. 1973 Yamaha DT3 (250cc), $4,100 obo 267-241-8841, Says 725 miles.
Ducati 750 GT. Believed to have been restored by Velocity Cycle in Richmond, VA. and current owner since 2017, who had it recently refreshed. $19,000 Lew 267-241-8841 or lewmoto@verizon.net.
Moto Guzzi V7 Racer $6,000, Joe at 267-377-6063.
Not sure of the year, but it looks like the original model that was built from 2011-2016. Looks to have some nice upgrades, and the fairing is very nice.
Continuing the cafe theme, here’s a heavily modified 1971 BMW R75, $9,500, Matt @ 717-557-5602. I’ll list the impressive mods/upgrades first:
OK, high roller time.
The dealership is selling a stunning low mileage JDM Honda CBX400F (aka Integra). Here’s the actual ad with a lot of pictures and specific information. Guess the price before heading over lol.
As an aside, it has 2 of my favorite Honda features:
1. That sexy fairing (I had one on both my CB900Fs)
2. The boomies (bought a foreign market VF just to get a set for one of my VF1000Fs)
