Post-Listing Update: This Moo Glide got no action at the starting bid of $8,993.
In 1993, Harley Davidson releaseda limited run of the Heritage Softail: they called it the Nostalgia and produced just 2,700 examples. It was black and white with red pinstripes – that color scheme plus the cow-fur seat and bag accents led to the nickname of the Moo Glide or Cow Glide. For reasons I can’t understand, the limite dedition sold out quickly and Harley made these owners angry by continuing production in later years (though with a different name and some other minor changes). Still, the ’93 bikes were the only ones that were truly limited.
The changes were solely cosmetic, but for more information on the Moo Glide, check out this article from Amy Irene White.
This example (VIN: 1HD1BNL17PY013483) is #474 of 2,700 and it’s got 41,614 miles. In addition to all the Moo Glide parts, this has some extra chrome pieces like the engine guard, pulley cover, belt guards, and headlight eyebrow. Flaws include a dent in the right fork, some minor scratches, and light corrosion on the engine and wheels.
