I try to pass along interesting motorcycle industry jobs when I hear about them, and this internship definitely qualifies for those of you that are in your junior or senior years of college (or recent graduates) who are looking to “work in social media” (now that’s a combination of words I never thought would exist when I was in undergrad). It’s a sweet 12-week gig – they’ll “teach you to ride, give you a bike and pay you to discover motorcycle culture while you find your freedom on the open road.” Plus, once the internship is over you get to keep the bike. Not bad!
Here’s the job description, which is focused around becoming a “digital content creator” who will help to recruit new riders. It can be easy to mock Harley occasionally, but I think this is an absolutely fantastic idea and I hope it creates some copycats in the industry.
The deadline is May 11th, and all you have to do is show them something creative about what “Freedom” means to you. Email your application to freedominternship@Harley-Davidson.com, and good luck!
Hypothetically, if you were selected for this, which one of Harley’s 34 models would you request? Check out their current lineup and let me know in the comments. I’d probably go for the new Fat Bob or Iron 1200.
