The Moriwaki MD600 was a race bike built to compete in the brand new (at the time) Moto2 class, designed to replace the two-stroke 250cc class as a feeder to MotoGP.
Moto2 kept bikes competitive by ensuring that all tires came from Dunlop and all engines (600cc 4-strokes) came from Honda, producing about 140 horsepower. Electronics were limited to FIM-sanctioned providers and can’t cost more than 650 Euros. Carbon fiber brakes aren’t allowed – only steel, but there were no restrictions on the chassis. This bike was piloted by Yannick Guerra, who started 14 races in the 2010 Moto2 season, though he did not earn any points.
This specific Moriwaki MD600 was sponsored by Holiday Gym but the seller says it’s no longer needed. It comes with titanium Moriwaki front and rear stands, Brembo brakes and racing pads, Marchesini magnesium wheels, Ohlins suspension front and rear (plus steering damper), Motec electronics, and an Arrow titanium exhaust.
