The Bimota SB6R was an uprated version of the SB6, Bimota’s most popular bike – though for a niche Italian manufacturer, “popular” is a relative term (only 1,300 units were produced). The SB6R was only produced from 1997-1999, and in many eyes it’s the pinnacle of classic Bimota motorcycles – brutal power from a Japanese engine with the style and handling you’d presume of an Italian chassis. In typical Italian fashion, you had to pay to play…even back in 1997, this bike would set you back $35,000! Here’s an example that’s spent time in the excellent Solvang Motorcycle Museum – so one would hope it’s in excellent condition, though no details are given. Find this Bimota SB6R for sale here at the Solvang Motorcycle Museum for $7,000.
