I can’t find an independent source to verify this, but according to the seller, this is one of four Sportsters built as a giveaway at NASCAR races in 2001. The promotion was organized by Miller Brewing, who was sponsoring driver Rusty Wallace at the time. Thus, these four bikes were all given a special paint scheme inspired by Rusty’s livery. Three of the four bikes were given away but this bike was never claimed, so it sat in Miller’s museum until 2006, when it was sold to a private party.
That owner had the bike until last year, when it was offered The asking price at the time was $7,200 and the bike had 1,100 miles. That seller pulled some eBay bullshit and said the bike was ‘lost or broken’, then presumably sold it to the current owner off of eBay for an unknown price.
The bike now has 1,425 miles on it. The current seller said he’s put in a new set of plugs, rebuilt the carb, and installed a new battery and set of tires. It’s claimed to run like new. Find this Sportster for sale here on Craigslist for $5,495 in Naples, Florida.
