Thought it started as a Ducati Mike Hailwood Replica, this Ducati has gone through a “ground up restoration and custom build” and “has been extensively modified to build a high performance NCR Replica.” How do you think it ended up?
Per the seller, the bodywork on this bike was built from a mold that was developed off a 1980 NCR, and the mounting brackets were custom built. The motor was rebuilt by Gowanloch Ducati, and in the process the stroke was increased so displacement is now 951cc. There’s plenty more modifications to go through – a Vee Two bottom end, Tranzac custom exhaust, new Dell’orto 40mm carbs, K&N pod filters, Sachs electronic ignition, and more.
This custom Ducati won its class at the 2014 Queensland Laverda Concourse in 2014 and was featured in the July 2018 issue of Australian Motorcycle Trader magazine. Since the rebuild, the bike has covered less than 2,500 miles so there “are a couple of stone chips on the fairing.”
