When it was released, the Turismo Veloce was Mondial’s sportiest bike. Nowadays, they’re not easy to find in Italy, let alone in the US.
This bike (VIN: 02177) is claimed to be one of just four Turismo Veloces in the US by the seller (and the only unrestored example), though I have not been able to find independent verification of that claim. The seller thinks the frame may been repainted and the headlight rim rechromed. Otherwise it’s just been cleaned up. Also note that the speedo glass is cracked and the cable is missing. The bike was imported 8 years ago to become part of a Maryland collection, then the seller acquired it three years ago. He/she noticed the points cam was damaged when trying to bring it back to life, had a new one machined, but never installed it.
In addition to the non-running bike, you’ll get the original Italian license plate, and a clean Florida title. Find this Mondial for sale in Jacksonville, Florida with bidding up to $3,000 and the reserve not yet met
Update: Once you’re done bringing this bike back to life, you may want a period brochure – Somer H found one with an opening bid of less than $10.
