Post Listing Update: This CR250 did not meet reserve despite 26 bids up to $4,349. It was then relisted and then pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
The original owner of this Honda CR250 felt that the long travel rear suspension of the ’76 model (Honda’s first) would make it a collectible, and it looks like he assumed correctly.
This bike was acquired in 2009 by Mike Owens – co-founder of the Legends & Heroes motocross museum that traveled around the country, and it was part of the main trailer display. This bike (VIN: CR250M-3003414) has never been ridden or even started. Despite the lack of use, it does have some cosmetic issues including a cracked front number plate and some scuffs on the frame.
