2005 marked the last time that a two-stroker won an AMA Supercross championship, and the feat was accomplished by Ricky Carmichael on a Team Makita Suzuki. To commemorate the feat, Suzuki announced a limited edition model for the following year.
The changes were cosmetic – Team Makita Suzuki graphics, gold wheels, and a black seat – and the price was an extra $300. But the base bike was excellent in its own right. MXA said “don’t write that check for a new four-stroke until you’ve thrown a leg over this 250cc two-stroke. It’s like no other bike on the planet.”
With that said, it likely doesn’t matter how this example rides as it’s never been taken out of the crate, meaning it’s probably destined to stay that way for a long, long time. There’s not much else to say about it – the seller says that it’s in perfect condition and has been stored in a climate controlled room.
