For a few years in the US, Honda was importing a VFR700 in conjunction with the legendary 750 to get around the “Save Harley” tariff. But by ’87, Honda stopped shipping the big brother, and in ’88 and ’89 they stopped sending over the VFR in any displacement. Here’s a final year example of the second generation VFR, which is available for a very reasonable price considering the amount of work that’s been put into it recently.
Specifically, it’s received a “head-to-tail refurbishment”, which included a mechanical service, new fork seals and steering head bearings, rebuilt brake calipers/clutch master cylinder/brake master cylinder and more. It also has afender eliminator and a Yoshimura 4-2-1 slipon exhaust. Note tha the bike does not come with a tool kit or owner’s manual and the low fuel warning light doesn’t work. Still, this is an excellent example of a classic sport bike in a relatively rare color – Candy Wave Blue.
