No Reserve – 1975 BMW R90S

The R90S is one of the most notable motorcycles in BMW history – though the last time I featured one I got plenty of comments from Bike-urious readers saying it’s highly overrated. Not that it’s bad, just that it’s a fine bike that gets blown out of proportion. I have to admit, I haven’t ridden one (though I’ll get my chance to next month) so I don’t have an opinion yet, but for those of you that love these iconic bikes, here’s a pretty one with a few modifications that make it a better rider. Plus bidders can feel confident that this bike will sell because it’s offered with no reserve!

This example (VIN: 4980763) has 52,485 miles and it’s been with the seller since 2011. Upgrades include Dyna electronic ignition, Progressive Suspension shocks, San Jose fork brace, Luftmeister exhaust, OEM steering damper, ‘ride off’ center stand, and more. The seller notes that the gas tank has some paint damage and the tail has a few scratches. But mechanically, the bike is said to run strong. As the seller points out, this is a nice rider but it’s not a concours bike.
