Per the seller, this numbers-matching Trident (VIN: T160DK03766) was found sitting in a private collection. If you need a reminder as to why the T160 is interesting, check out this story on Motorcycle Classics – they call it the “machine that, until the resurrection of Triumph in 1990, represented the pinnacle of mass-produced British motorcycling.” It’s one of the bigger “what-ifs” in motorcycling history – it’s what the T150 should have been, but it was released too late and Honda’s CB750 had seemingly taken over the world by that point.
