Someone in Boulder, Colorado is selling off his collection of approximately 40 motorcycles, and it looks like most of them are Brits. Currently available are a 1967 Norton N15CS, a 1966 BSA Hornet project, and a 2000 Triumph Thunderbird.
Let’s just start off with this – you can find the current offerings from this seller
But let’s look at the individual bikes:
First, the Hornet (VIN: A65H387). This competition scrambler is going to need the most work, and there is no title. It looks to be mostly intact but it will need a complete restoration – as the seller says, it’s not for the faint of heart. Find it with bidding up to $202.50
Next we’ve got the Thunderbird (VIN: SMT395DJ8Y090928), which has 10,570 miles and is claimed to be immaculate. It “runs as new” and it’s equipped with new-ish tires and a windscreen. Find it with bidding up to $2,125
The best for last – a ’67 Norton N15CS competition scrambler (VIN: 123634). The seller says it has all the rare parts – center stand, air cleaner, bronze tach drive, plus a Boyer ignition, new battery, and more. However, while the paint is nice, it’s the wrong color and it doesn’t have pinstripes. The headlight and taillight are wrong, and the biggest issue: the engine is exhibiting piston slap and while the bike doesn’t smoke, you’re going to need to throw new pistons in it. Find it with bidding up to $3,050
At the very least, no reserves mean these bikes will find new owners. Maybe you can get one for cheaper than usual?
