One one hand, I can appreciate the seller’s (Harris Vincent Gallery) idea that this is a bike for someone “who wants to have the Vincent Experience but not be put into poverty.” On the other hand, the purchase price is $70,000…
I don’t mean to imply that’s not a fair price, I’m just amused by the concept. This is a ‘completely non-matching bike’ that has been mechanically restored, with new components inside the transmission as well as new pistons, bearings, and valves. This seller normally produces high dollar, show-winning restorations, and their hope is that this bike will be more of a rider for someone lucky.
