Last month we saw some great bikes – but did they sell? And if so, for how much?
This summary will only include listings from eBay (or other auction sites). I unfortunately have no way of finding out final sale prices of bikes offered on Craigslist/Cycle Trader/Kijiji/etc. With that said, here are some highlights from last month:
No Reserve – 1984 Suzuki RM500 – sold for $3,000 after 26 bids on eBay in Vassar, Michigan.
1981 Moto Guzzi V50 Monza – sold for $6,428.28 after 23 bids on eBay in Miami, Florida.
Chantland 750 Kit – 1970 Rickman Metisse MkIII – sold for the BIN $10,000 on eBay in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mini Gixxer – 1987 Suzuki RB50 GAG – sold for $2,225 after 27 bids on eBay in Spring, Texas.
New In Crate – 1981 Honda CBX – sold for $28,000 (plus a 10% buyers fee) after 81 bids through Obenauf Auction Service in Johnsburg, Illinois.
1978 Harley-Davidson XLCR – sold for $8,700 after 7 bids on eBay in Lebanon, Indiana.
2003 Honda RC51 RVT1000R SP2 – sold for $5,000 after 1 bid on eBay in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.
2 Stroke Titan – 1975 Suzuki T500 Cafe Racer – sold for $12,100 after 36 bids on Bring a Trailer in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Well Preserved – 1982 BMW R65LS – sold for $4,999 after 19 bids on eBay in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Owned by Reg Pridmore – 1998 Honda CBR1100XX – originally sold for $4,200, but it was immediately relisted and then sold for $3,003.22 after 16 bids on eBay in Tyron, North Carolina.
1973 Honda ST90 – sold for a best offer of $1,400 on eBay in New London, Wisconsin.
1969 Kawasaki C2TR – sold for the BIN of $2,650 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
1981 Benelli 654 – sold for $3,050 after 8 bids in Suches, Georgia.
A Pair of Two Strokes – Two 1976 Yamaha RD400s – sold for $6,000 after 24 bids on eBay in Ashby, Massachusetts.
1976 Suzuki RE-5 – sold for $4,999 after 1 bid on eBay in Freeland, Michigan.
No Reserve – 1966 Honda CB450 – sold for $6,816 after 67 bids on eBay in Los Angeles, California.
1968 Benelli Mojave 360 – sold for $3,550 after 4 bids on eBay in San Rafael, California.
Rare Project – 1957 Moto Guzzi Super Alce – sold for approximately $9,300 to Bike-urious reader and contributor Ray S on Craigslist in Glen Head, New York.
Here’s some stuff that didn’t sell:
643 Miles – 1990 Honda RC30 – did not meet reserve despite 17 bids up to $39,100 in Hinckley, Ohio.
Replica Frame, Original Motor – 1911 Pierce Four – did not meet reserve despite 15 bids up to $44,667 on eBay in Toms River, New Jersey.
Restored – 1973 Maico 501 – did not meet reserve despite 18 bids up to $7,900 on eBay in New Fairfield, Connecticut.
Ending Soon – 1966 Honda CB160 – did not meet reserve despite 51 bids up to $2,230 in Stockton, New Jersey.
2007 BMW R1200S – did not meet reserve despite 20 bids up to $5,334.55 in Brookfield, Connecticut.
1967 Husqvarna 360 Viking – did not meet reserve despite 15 bids up to $12,328 on eBay in Tacoma, Washington.
