6-24-17 Update: Almost a year later, Tim Huber notes that this bike is back up for sale – you can find it with an asking price of $22,000 here on Craigslist in Henderson, Nevada.

Post Listing Update: This DB7 did not reserve with bidding ending up at $16,100.

The DB7 was Bimotas first superbike after their rebirth in 2003, and it featured Ducati’s 1098 Testastretta Evo engine. The engine isn’t the only impressive part – in addition to Bimota’s home-brew oval tube trellis frame, this bike is packed with top-shelf components like Marzocchi forks, Brembo Monobloc calipers, and the fully adjustable ExtremeTech rear shock. But what truly makes this bike stand out is the way this bike is made.

As Cycle World said in their August 2010 issue, “the Bimota…is a beautiful work of art, handles like a dream and has awesome real-world V-Twin power that makes it more accessible to more riders.” For more, check out this review from Motorcycle.com.

Bimota DB7 - Front

This specific Bimota DB7 (VIN: ZESD711S89R000002) is the second one built. The seller claims it’s one of 100 examples but I can’t seem to find independent confirmation of that (and the above Motorcycle.com article said Bimota was planning on building 300 a year when it was released). It has 12,100 miles and is being offered by the original owner. The bike sat for the last three years, it just got a major service and is now stored at Irish Mike’s Performance shop. Modifications include painted wheels, belly pan, and windscreen, as well as a cut exhaust, HID lights, and custom license plate bracket.
