Post Listing Update: This CB450R did not get any action at the opening bid of $3,550.
Built by Kurt Blankemeyer of Design Cycle, this “CB450R” combines a heavily modified frame from a ’75 CB400F and mates it to a Honda CRF450R motorcross engine. It is glorious, and it’s on offer with no reserve.
This (VIN: CB400F1001763) isn’t the prettiest bike in the world, but it weighs about 250 pounds in road trim! Kurt sold the bike in 2010 and then re-acquired it in March of 2013. It’s titled and street legal (though some states might have an objection to the MX motor) with a recent service so that it’s ready to go. It’s quite a mutt, thanks to the front end from a CBR900RR, aftermarket Harley Sportster fuel tank, Leo Vince exhaust originally from a Kawasaki ZX636, and more.
