During a seven year production run, Ducati sold nearly 28,000 example of the 900SS across a few forms – the full fairing SP, monopost Superlight, silver Final Edition, and the half fairing CR as shown here. This is one of a much smaller number that are still with the original owner…for now.
The listing could have a little bit more detail, but I see some modifications that I like (Ohlins shock, Staintune exhaust, Corbin seat), and the seller claims he’s the original owner. He also notes that it has 19,378 miles and that he just had it serviced with a new battery and “all fluids changed”. He notes a “chip in the ECU” which should definitely be clarified, [4-15 UPDATE: the chip mention was removed from the listing] but this bike seems like it’s worth an inquiry.
Find this 900SS for sale in Hudson, Massachusetts for $4,500 here on Craigslist.
The same seller also has a Moto Guzzi CX100, if you like your Italian twins a little quirkier…
