Post Sale Update: This H2 sold for $13,000 after 40 bids on eBay.
I’ve featured a few H2s over the years, but this one truly stands out as it’s being sold by the original owner – plus it’s in the Candy Gold Brown paint job that wasn’t particularly popular when the bike was new, so they don’t show up very often nowadays.
This example (VIN: H2F34386) looks great and it seems that the seller has done a good job preserving it over the years – it’d be great to hear his stories over the last 46 years of ownership! He notes that “originally, I could get OEM parts, then NOS, still some odd NOS about, then aftermarket.” All the paint is original, the only cosmetic flaw is said to be a small crease in the left side cover. I’d jokingly say that the chrome sissy bar is also a cosmetic flaw, but the seller notes that it and the crash bar were apparently period Kawasaki accessories?
Mechanically, this bike has 17,796 miles and everything is said to work well as the seller had the habit of picking a different system and rebuilding it each every winter. He says that everything besides the transmission has been taken apart and re-assembled, and that the “carbs have been done so many times, I could do them with my eyes partially closed.”
