Offered by the original owner, this RSV Mille R is one of the nicest examples I’ve seen of the breed with good photos and an excellent description – I wish all listings were like this!
When it comes to Aprilia fanatics, “2000” needs clarification. In the early part of 2000, Europe got 2000 models while the US got 1999 models – it wasn’t until later in the year that we got the proper 2000 models, which are known in the community as “2000.5”. They had a few minor upgrades (most notably, steel-braided brake lines), and once the new bikes came in we also received the upgraded R model. The R featured Ohlins suspension + steering damper, forged OZ aluminum wheels, shorter/lighter subframe with a solo seat, and a carbon fiber front fender.
This example (VIN: ZD4MEE019YS000124) has 18,847 miles and it comes with a tremendous amount of accessories, including the factory optional Aprilia carbon fiber bodywork (original cost was over $3,000) with a 2000 WSBK graphics kit. Additional upgrades include the Aprilia/Arrow titanium exhaust with matching EPROM chip, Helibars, TCM rearsets, axle sliders, and the Aprilia forged aluminum top triple clamp. The sale includes a non-R subframe so you could carry a passenger, and the seller spends plenty of time describe the maintenance and history of the bike. Like I said, I wish everything for sale listing was like this one.
