A period build with a pre-war engine, this Norton International has been built to look like the iconic Manx. Though it’s titled as a 1957, the engine is from twenty years prior.
1956 Triumph 6T Blackbird
In 1949 Triumph stunned the motorcycle world by introducing the 6T. A bored and stroked 650 CC version of their ultra successful 500 CC Speed Twin. The 6T used the same frame, brakes, suspension and even engine cases as the Speed Twin but with significantly more power it may have been the fastest MC made in 1949. Triumph got a …
1974 Kawasaki Rickman CR900
Based on Kawasaki’s iconic Z1, the Rickman CR900 was one of the ultimate cafe racers of the time. Take a powerful Japanese motor and surround it with a nickel plated frame that allowed for much better handling from the factory, and you got one of the coolest period bikes around. According to the seller, this is one of 77 Rickman …

View Post1974 Laverda 750 SFC
Peter Boggia of Moto Borgotaro is known for his excellent work with vintage European bikes. He’s often got some cool stuff for sale but I usually don’t feature them any more because he doesn’t have asking prices online. This time around, his offering is on eBay, and it’s worth checking out just because of the beautiful photography. The bike’s not …
1979 Yamaha XS650 Special
Post Sale Update: After 39 bids on eBay, this XS650 sold for $5,015. The “Special” variant of Yamaha’s XS650 were modified with a teardrop tank and pull back handlebars for some extra style. Here’s a Midnight Black and Gold example of the popular bike, and it has just 2,700 miles.
1968 Harley Davidson Servi-Car
Harley Davidson put out their first 3 wheeled vehicle in 1913 that had a two wheeled front end with a cargo box between the wheels. By 1915 they were building the ‘package truck’ which was a sidecar attachment with a cargo box. In 1932 Harley introduced the Servi-Car with two rear wheels and a solid axle with a cargo box …

View Post1974 John Player Norton Commando 850 MKIIA
11-3-16 Update: I don’t understand why sellers do this, but this has been relisted with an opening bid of $17,499 even though there was no action the last time bidding started $15k. Still, it’s a no reserve auction and the price includes shipping in the CONUS, so if you’re interested in this lovely restoration, find this Norton here on eBay. …
2006 Harley-Davidson Night Rod VRSCD
In 2001, Harley-Davidson released the V-Twin Racing Street Custom (VRSC). You may remember it as the V-Rod. A muscle bike that was used as a base for drag racing, Harley got some attention with this bike because the Revolution v-twin engine was jointly developed with Porsche. The V-Rod spawned a multitude of models, including the “Night Rod” of 2006-2008. Here’s …
1 of 325 – 2015 Triumph Thruxton Ace
The new Thruxtons are in (and by all accounts, they’re a huge improvement over the last generation), which means that the previous Thruxtons are now available with a significant discount. Case in point – the last time I featured a limited production Ace Edition version, it sold for $10,100 after 27 bids on eBay. This one’s got an asking price …
Rare Project – 1973 Yankee Z500
Post Sale Update: This Z500 sold for $4,202 after 12 bids on eBay. The Yankee Z500 was the brainchild of John Taylor, the American importer for OSSA and Bultaco. He thought American dirt bikes should be able to compete with Europe’s best offerings, so he created Yankee Motor Company. He started his quest just by importing OSSAs, then threw OSSA …
1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport
Post Sale Update: After being relisted, this V7 Sport sold for $14,000 with 24 bids on eBay. 11-2-16 Update: This beautiful V7 Sport is back up for sale, with bidding up to $7,100 and the reserve not yet met here on eBay. Post Listing Update: Apparently $14,450 was not enough to sell this bike, as it did not meet reserve …
Cow Glide – 1993 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail FLSTN
Called the Mooglide or the Cowglide, this bike was more formally known as the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail FLSTN, or the Nostalgia. 2,700 examples were created, and the changes were entirely cosmetic. But what changes! Raven Black and Birch White paint with red pinstripes complemented seat and bag accents with a “cow-fur” design. I don’t get it.
1958 Triton
What do you get if you take the very best from two venerable manufacturers? In this case you get a 1958 Norton Featherbed frame with a 1978 Triumph Tiger powerplant wrapped up in custom cafe racer livery. You’ve probably heard of this mix before as a Triton (Triumph/Norton)
