Post Sale Update: This GSX-R sold for $8,560 after 12 bids on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.
Suzuki once made an official Pepsi-liveried version of the RGV250, but today on the auction site we’ve got a custom build where the creator asked what it would be like if Suzuki created a Pepsi Edition of the GSX-R750.
He started with an example from the final year of oil/air-cooling, then threw a staggering amount of parts at it (VIN: JS1GR7AA4N2100239). The seller does a great job explaining the work in this walkaround video:
Otherwise, I’ll hit you with the highlights and you can click through to the listing if you want all of the details. The bike was purchased with minor damage to the right side upper fairing, lower fairing, and exhaust canister, then given a full restoration with modifications for a “race replica” look. The OEM front turn signal holes and “3rd Eye” were filled in, and mini Hi-Intensity LED driving lights were installed to achieve the full front number plate aesthetic. Mechanically, this bike got a valve adjustment as well as fresh oil and brake fluid. It’s equipped with NGK spark plugs and Accel spark plug wires. In addition, the carbs were rebuilt with a jet kit and they were paired with Uni pod filters. The following are made from titanium: case bolts, caliper bolts, rotor bolts, sprocket nuts, valve cover bolts. The wheels have been powdercoated. There are steel braided brake lines, EBC brake pads, and Motul brake fluid. There’s a full stainless race exhaust w/ replica SC Project can. It’s also got my new favorite shock reservoir of all time:
Plus there’s a matching stand, because why not?
It was recently awarded “Best Race Bike” at the Vintage MotoFest Bike Show at Round 2 of MotoAmerica in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Find this custom Gixxer for sale in Westfield, Wisconsin with bidding up to $6,600 and the reserve not yet met here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.
