Great to see several of you today at the informal open house we had at Iconic! If you missed it, here’s a few quick photos from the festivities.
As a reminder, we had some bikes from a collection arrive at the shop and we thought it’d be fun to invite friends over to open up crates with us. Some of these bikes have pre-sold, but several will be going up on Iconic Motorbike Auctions Powered by Bike-urious in the next week or so! All the crates were moved out into the parking lot in advance, so this is what people got to see when they first arrived.
As the parking lot was full, our guests had to park on the street.

Inside the shop, we were showing the most recent MotoGP race – what a performance by Fabio Quartararo!
Finally, it was time to open some crates.
Box #1 was a Bimota V-Due 500.
It’s the fuel-injected model and it has 0 miles!
Box #2 had an ex-British Superbike Red Bull Ducati racer
Unfortunately, it has suffered from quite a bit of magnesium corrosion!
Two of the crates had Ducati 996Rs – one has 2 miles, the other has 1 mile.
I put the camera down and helped uncrate a few of the bikes myself.

A personal highlight was this Ducati Supermono.
It’s already been sold to Graham Rahal, who competed with number 15 in IndyCar so this one’s extra special for him.
I can’ believe how spoiled I was – by the time we got around to bike #8, I couldn’t really get excited about a Ducati 998S Bostrom replica.
Thankfully, it seems like most of the guests were still excited.
My favorite of the bikes was this NR750. It’s one of the bikes that will be going up on the auction site soon!
It was in a different crate and it proved to be quite a pain to free.
We waited till the event was over to get the NR out of the crate.

Earlier today, I mentioned that reader Bill Day had bought a Yamaha SRV250 from a friend named Glenn who’s got all kinds of cool JDM oddities. Well, Glenn stopped by with a few more oddballs for us to sell. Glenn loves the Rothmans livery (we just auctioned off a Honda EZ-9 that he had painted in a similar scheme), so here’s a better-than-average pitbike with the paint job.
He also brought by a Honda RC51 that was originally acquired to send to Tyga, but that’s no longer in the cards so we’re auctioning it off right now. It’s a beautiful, low-mileage ’05 model in black with Sato pipes.
But BY FAR my favorite thing that Glenn brought by was this Yamaha YSR50 sidecar! After the event had ended and the parking lot was mostly cleared up, I had to take Sandro around for a quick spin. I’m in love with this thing.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t show off a buddy’s new dog before I wrap things up. This is Bo (named after Bo Jackson).
I may have fallen in love with the YSR sidecar, but Vy fell in love with Bo.
