Zero’s just unveiled some photos and specs of their newest model, the SR/S. What do you think?
Here are the basics for you:
Standard Model (3kw Rapid Charger) = $19,995
Premium Model (6kw Rapid Charger, heated grips, aluminum bar ends) = $21,995
These equate to a $500 bump from the naked SR/F
The Power Tank (additional 3.6kWh) to complement the 14.4 kWh battery = $2,895.
Available colors are “Skyline Silver” and what they call “Cerulian Blue”, which I’m hoping is a typo and just supposed to be Cerulean Blue.
According to Zero, the fairing yields a 13% bump in efficiency and range compared to the SR/F.
The motor produces 110 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque, and top speed is 124 miles per hour. The Standard model weighs 505 pounds, while the Premium weighs 516.
Range (WITHOUT the Power Tank):
City = 161 miles
Highway = 82 miles
Combined = 109 miles
Range (WITH the Power Tank):
City = 201 miles
Highway = 103 miles
Combined = 136 miles
Charging Time (95%)
Standard Model = 4 hours
Premium Model = 2 hours
Other features include:
– Bosch stability control (ABS, cornering brake control, traction control, drag torque control)
– 10 programmable custom ride modes in addition to Street, Sport, Eco, and Rain
– “Connectivity”: your phone can get data about charging status, if your bike has been tipped over, GPS tracking, etc. This service is free for your first two years, pricing beyond that is not clear at this time. (I’ve asked Zero for clarification and will update once I hear back).
