The Venice Vintage Motorcycle Rally happened a couple of months ago, and I never got some photos together for those of you that weren’t able to come check it out in person! Here’s my attempt to rectify that.
Here’s a few of my personal favorites from the day – but you can click here for the full album if you wish.
Before the rally/show starts, there’s a morning ride that left from Abbot Kinney.
This quirky chopper…
…was full of interesting little details, like this taillight:
this tank:
and this play on words:
Ha.
Plenty of interesting customs showed up:
They raffled off a custom Triumph called the Black Knight:
My little Honda was one of the smallest bikes there:
This highway patrolman was one of the many policemen helping with escorts and ensuring everyone was safe – here he’s giving a safety briefing.
After leaving Venice, we all rode up PCH to Pepperdine University and had a quick stop/group photo.
Then we got back to the show, where there were plenty of sweet bikes even in the parking lot:
Annoyingly, only one bike was entered into the “Mini” class for judging. I could have entered my Honda S90 and won 2nd by default!
Indian showed up with some great customs:
Heroes Motorcycles showed up with some cool bikes, including the custom BSA:
Juicer electric motorcycle:
Venice Choppers had a couple of oddballs, like these:
and also this fantastic Greeves – take a moment to enjoy that front fork:
Beach Moto showed up with some gear and a custom Ducati they just built:
Laverda front fairing:
Beautiful Velo engine:
Custom BMW:
Trophy Time!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t stick around for the whole thing…because Nathan and I took off to go buy bikes for the Beater Olympics! For the full gallery, click here.
