In a 1998 advertisement, ATK called the 600DT the only “factory-built dirt tracker”. They said it was race-ready thanks to a Rotax motor, their in-house frame, Brembo brakes, WP suspension, Talon hubs, SuperTrapp exhaust, and plenty more quality components.
For more on this 600DT, check out this story on Cycle World, who state that ATK “enlisted R&D assistance from Total Control Racing, a top-ranked team in the AMA Grand National Championship.”
The seller of this example says that less than 250 were made, and he’s got a plate on it! Find this ATK for sale for $4,500 near Piedmont, California here on Craigslist.
