Honda Motor Company’s invasion of America began in 1959 in a small storefront in west Los Angeles and featured three models; the step-through 50, the diminutive Benly and their “big bike” offering, the ME250 Dream. When the two larger bikes proved to have, uh, less than stellar reliability, the little Super Cub carried the company forward. Nonetheless, the 250 Dream will forever be seen as an essential part of Honda’s worldwide conquest.
The 1956 model offered here has apparently been imported from Japan as it’s three model years ahead of the company’s landing on these shores. Appearing quite complete and featuring a sporty solo seat it seems a doable project for a Dream aficionado. The seller even suggests that he’s willing and able to perform the restoration.
