Post Sale Update: After 13 bids on eBay, this custom Tiger sold for $13,056.
Built for The Horse magazine’s Amateur Chop Off, this build started as a one-owner Tiger T1100. It’s won a couple of awards and it got the builder an invite to Fuel Cleveland as well. It’s not perfect as the clutch needs to be adjusted and the carbs may need to be rejetted, but I think this is a lovely looking custom, even if I wouldn’t want to ride it very far.
Highlights of the work include a stretched and lowered Factory Metal Works hardtail frame, mid 1930s Velocette girder front end, custom leather seat, Bob Newby belt drive, 5-speed transmission, Emgo exhaust, cloth wiring, custom rear fender, and a custom fuel tank that started as a unit from a “Jawa sister company” – can you identify what it’s from?
