Pro Circuit is one of the legendary motocross and supercross teams of all time, and they occasionally have bikes for sale up on their site. Here’s a wildly modified KX250 that they’re ready to let go of.
From 1974-2007, the KX250 was a successful two-stroke MX bike that won several AMA Championships over time, especially with Jeff Emig and Ricky Carmichael in recent years. Nowadays, it’s still in production but as a four-stroke. The bike got a serious overhaul in 2021 so the 2022 model barely had any changes – reviewers were generally happy with the engine though they noted the bike was on the heavier side in the 250 class at roughly 238 pounds.
MSRP on the original bike was $8,399 but Pro Circuit wants more than double that now because of the insane amount of work done to this bike: the engine and suspension have been modified, it has a Hinson clutch conversion, Pro Circuit Ti-6 titanium exhaust with carbon fiber end cap, graphics kit…the list goes on but they don’t share everything in the listing. They also note a “works chassis.” I’m not entirely sure who the buyer would be for such a bike but it’s well beyond my capabilities as a rider!
Find this KX for sale for sale in Corona, California for $20,000 here on Pro Circuit’s website. They’re also selling a couple of other bikes but this one is the craziest one.
