Post Sale Update: This XR750 sold for $18,000 after 8 bids on eBay.

Offered with no reserve, this XR750 was raced throughout the 70s and 80s by Mike Boyes, who then sold it to Yoshi of Garage Company. It was then sold to Mike Cheiky, then to New York City Motorcycles, and now it’s with someone in Venice, California who’s looking to pass it on as a piece of history.

This example (Engine #: 1C101XH0) is offered as it was last raced on the tracks of Ascot, San Jose, and Sacramento decades ago, and that’s why it’ll need some work before it’s fired up again. The tank does not seem to be worthy of holding fuel any more: “it is recommended by the vendor that fuel not be poured inside of the XR750’s original, un-lined, uncoated tank. To run it, a substitute tank or external fuel feed should be used.”

To help with valuation, this XR750 was scheduled to be auctioned at the Bonhams auction at Barber in October 2018. It did not sell, but the estimated value was between $30,000 and $35,000. Find this XR for sale in Venice, California with bidding up to $17,666
