Post-Listing Update: This 851 did not get any interest at the BIN of $4,500.
The seller originally acquired this 851 Strada as a “cosmetic basketcase” and decided he liked how it looked without bodywork. Thanks to a custom subframe, fiberglass cafe seat, and a few other pieces, you get a bike that (in the seller’s words) is “meant to ride, savor the Desmoquattro sounds and power without a need for the chiropractor when the ride is done.” What do you think?
Last year this 851 was shown at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering, though I somehow missed it myself. Other work includes a custom wire harness, carbon fiber fenders, rear shock rebuilt and valved by Lindemann Engineering, Flanders low cafe bars, and plenty more. The engine has cases from a ST4 as a chain failure ruined the originals.
I suspect this bike (VIN: ZDM1HB6P4NB003352) will be a polarizing build – do you like it? If so, find this 851 for sale in Pasco, Washington with a BIN of $4,500 or best offer
