Restored by Chuck Davis Restorations, this RT1 has been covnerted into a replica of Yamaha’s ’69 factory MX race bike, the 250cc DT1M. As Yamaha put it, “here is proof that high performance machines can also be beautiful.“
The seller says, “I have been working on this project for some years now and it is done as far as I want to take it.” It combines a ’71 frame, ’72 seat pan, ’71 engine (which has been lowered two inches), ’71 swingarm (extended 1.5″ inches), and the smaller gas tank from a CT175 that’s been debadged. “As always this was built for myself to my liking. There is room to change / modify to your own style.”
