It’s been almost exactly two years since the shocking news that Nicky Hayden passed away in a bicycle/car accident in Italy. One of the many organizations that went out of their way to honor Nicky was the AMA, and one of their projects was the commission of two custom motorcycles that celebrated “his life and his career as a professional American road racer and flat tracker.” The bikes are scheduled to be on tour for the rest of 2019, but the AMA is now raffling off these machines to raise money for the AMA Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit.
Per the AMA, “American Honda donated a 2018 Honda CBR1000RR and a 2018 Honda XR650L, which were customized by Tony Prust of Analog Motorcycles and Jason LeCavalier of Artistimo Customs. The CBR1000RR is decked out in a full Repsol Honda livery, while the XR650L was heavily modified in a street-tracker motif.”
Which one do you prefer? I’d take the XR. No matter your answer, you can enter the raffle at this link. Tickets start a $5 a pop with a discount for bulk purchases. Good luck!
