Owners of the Honda CB500X have a soft spot for a company called Rally Raid out in the UK, as they’ve built a kit to turn the pavement-focused dual-sporter into something much more aggressive while maintaining the manageable size. Here’s an example in the US with the full kit, perfect for riders who prefer light weight over outrageous power with the ability to still manage highway cruising on their adventures.
I really enjoyed my time with the new CB500X, as Honda incorporated some of the changes they saw in kits like the Rally Raid. But if you really want to go off-roading, this example would be a better way to go as it’s got new Tractive suspension (2″ more travel on both ends), 19″ front/17″ rear spoked wheels, Knight Designs pegs, Renthal bars, Barkbusters, soft luggage racks, folding levers, Madstad windshield, and a dash that’s arguably more appropriate for a plane than a motorcycle. The custom stickers makes it look more like a baby Africa Twin, as well.
