In 1953, Peugeot introduced a new model called the S55, and it stood out from the competition with dramatic styling. The French manufacturer updated the model to the S57 the following year, and by 1957 it had taken its final form with a new gear shifter and a few smaller revisions.
Several of the styling features supposedly emulate aspects of the Peugeot 203 automobile: the gauges are setup like the dashboard of a car, there’s a mini storage compartment over the front wheel, and it’s even got a floor mat of sorts! These are very rare finds in the US, but this example is unfortunately missing the rear seat and the key. There are about 1,500 miles on the odometer, and the seller claims that it has never been laid down. In terms of running condition, all the seller has to say is that it has “great compression”.
