Post Sale Update: This Morini sold for $2,500 after 7 bids on eBay.
A very hard to find twin in the US, the Moto Morini 2C featured a 239cc engine that put 24 horsepower through a 6-speed transmission. It seems that the very few people who have had a chance to ride a 2C believe it’s a joy to ride because it’s nearly the same as the 350 in terms of the frame and bodywork – but it weighs about 80 pounds less!
This example (VIN: 03757) shows 3,240 miles on the odometer but it is not currently running – the seller says it ran when parked and that he “will get running before delivery but don’t want to get running unless sold just to have it to sit again.” The seat and rear fender are not original, so there’s some question about if the bike was rear ended in the past or if a previous owner just wanted to restyle the bike for some weird reason. The sale will include all manuals and some spare parts – the left tank badge is not mounted as the tabs are broken but the piece is included.
