Post Listing Update: This Pranafa was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
Originally imported to the US by Hap Alzina, the west coast BSA dealer, the Pranafa Playboy was a mini-scooter built by Dr. Seiffert in Frankfurt, Germany. The intent was something to have something you could take to work but be so small you could park it at your desk.
The concept of bringing your vehicle to your desk makes me think of one of my favorite segments of Top Gear, where Jeremy drives the Peel P50 around BBC offices:
The Playboy has a 16cc two-stroke engine originally built for equipment like lawn mowers and saws. Depending on who you asked, it produced anywhere between .25 and .7 horsepower. In this application, it was paired with a dry clutch operated by a foot pedal. For more on this mini-scooter, check out this brief write up from Collectors Weekly.
This example is said to be all-original and it will need some work: the seller states that the engine turns, the clutch is OK, the rear brake works well and the tires are OK but they need new tubes. He also notes that the pull-start and drive belt are missing.
