I’ve got to admit, I didn’t know these bikes ever officially made it to the US. This example isn’t perfect and it will need some work before it’s ready for the road again, but it’s rare, cool, and just $1,200.
Offered with a MSRP of $2,995, the RT125 (called the Stryker in some markets) had a 15 horsepower, 124cc 4 stroke single paired to a 6 speed transmission and disc brakes front and rear. For the money, it was not badly equipped. Top speed was claimed to be 70 miles per hour but owners online say that 60-65 is more realistic. This example has been stored “in a collection” for a while and will need a battery and carb cleaning at a minimum before it fires up again. The tires look like they should be replaced and the entire bike should be given a good bath, plus it’s obviously gone down on the left side and it’s missing the tank decals on both sides. Still…it’s $1,200 and it should be good for some fun for those of you that like small bikes. It’s like a Grom but sized for an adult!
Find this rare MZ (that might be redundant) for sale in Ventura, California for just $1,200 here on Craigslist.
