Elite riding schools typically utilize the latest and greatest machinery available, and RawHyde Adventures is certainly no exception. This also means they need to clear out last year’s fleet of machines to make room for the new bikes. There are a number of elements that make the bikes that RawHyde is selling that much more attractive, plus, the prestigious ADV school has further sweetened the deal by throwing in a training class (choice of the level 1 or level 2 programs) and one of three different tours (Big Bikes in Baja, Expedition CV, or the new Continental Divide Tour). If you add up the value of the tour, class, and tires, it comes out to over $5,000.

Every bike is still under factory warranty for another 24-30 months, and the fleet qualifies for BMW factory financing and EZ-Ride terms for anyone who doesn’t have five figures just laying around. Though purchasing a bike that was largely used for novice riders to learn on may sound like it’s asking for trouble, the reality is that RawHyde meticulously maintains its entire fleet, giving the BMW’s far more attention than the average owner. Plus RawHyde’s bikes are under the care of BMW Certified Master Technicians. These are all 2017 machines in perfect working order. The only reason for the sale is RawHyde needs to make room for its 2018 fleet.

According to RawHyde, the entire fleet of BMW’s has been outfitted with “every option that BMW makes.” On top of that, these bikes have been equipped with a number of aftermarket ADV parts such as skid plates, headlight protectors, ADV luggage racks, and more. Because these are 2017 bikes, they come with lean angle sensitive ABS, keyless ride, shift assist, cruise control, GPS prep package, ride modes (with enduro pro chip installed), and LED headlights to name a few of the highlights. There are a few different GS models of varying displacements between mid-and-full size that are currently for sale, including:

BMW 1200GSA: $22,750: 10 available
BMW 1200GS: $19,950: 20 available
BMW F800GS: $12,750: 5 available
BMW F700GS: $10,595: 3 available

There are also a random handful of older models that are also for sale including “a few 2010 – 2013 bikes in our fleet as well, so if you’re on a budget please call for price and availability for a range of 800 and 1200 bikes from ’10 to ’13 model years.” All bikes are sold AS IS, however RawHyde has a stellar reputation as well as a long list of glowing testimonials from happy customers who have purchased from the ADV school. If you’re simply looking for the absolute lowest price on a used newer-model BMW ADV bike, RawHyde’s sale probably isn’t for you. However, if you have a strong desire to dive head first into ADV riding, the renowned riding academy’s deal seems perfect. This could be the kick in the pants some people might need to finally get into ADV riding. An awesome bike – well maintained, fully farkled, and still under factory warranty – with the training to learn to use it and an opportunity to put that training to use is something of an ultimate package. Manufacturers have recently been trying to attract customers via similar offers, whether that be Yamaha tossing in free riding school, or Ducati including an exclusive free track day with the purchase of an elite machine, if you’ve got the funds, it’s admittedly tempting.
