In 2013, the legendary Brough Superior name was brought back to life by Mark Upham and he’s recently released a new SS100 for a select few to enjoy. Typically, each bike is built to order but this is a demo bike that you can snag immediately.
I try to share a few basic specifications about each bike I feature, but this really seems to be the type of motorcycle where numbers don’t matter – you’ll know if you want it based on the initial glance. Despite that, I’ll let you know that the Boxer Design 997cc V-Twin pumps out 120 horsepower, and the dry weight is less than 400 pounds. I got those numbers from none other than The Vintagent (Paul D’Orleans) – for more information (or if you’re even vaguely interested in this bike), you need to check out his review!
All the seller has to say about this example is that it’s a demo unit, so the hope is that it’s still in excellent shape.
What say you – is this is a fitting tribute to George Brough or a silly exercise in appealing to wealthy riders? Either way, find this SS100 for sale here at Godin’s Sporting Cars & Motorcycles in Kent, England for $69,996. Once you buy it, let me know so I can fly out and try it…
