Between 1960 and 1970, Bultaco offered a series of road racers called TSS in displacements varying between 125 and 350. According to Mick Walker, when the 125 was released in 1960 it was the first production road race bike to be sold to the public. Near the end of the production run, Bultaco offered a ‘350’ using the new 360 motor that they were using in off-road bikes – it was good for nearly 50 horsepower in race trim. This featured bike may not be producing as much power as it is a replica, but it’s quite a lovely one. Thanks to a recent engine rebuild it’s now ready for display, racing, or just having fun.
This replica is built on a Metralla GT frame and it features TSS bodywork, 210mm Fontana replica 4LS front brake, Akront 18″ wheels, and Betor suspension. The 350cc motor has a new Mahle piston, competition connecting rod, and Motoplat electronic ignition – it’s fueled with a Amal MkII concentric carb.
