Post Sale Update: This Sprint sold for $3,500 after 27 bids on eBay.
The Harley-Davidson Sprint H is a classic moto built from the Italian-American partnership of HD and Aermacchi. The H was a sport model that was introduced in 1963 with a small amount of additional off-road capability thanks to 18″ wheels and a bigger air filter. An increase in compression ratio yielded an extra three horsepower, up to 21. This enabled a top speed of 76 miles per hour.
Wet weight was just 271 pounds, making it surprisingly agile in the corners. For more on the Sprint H, check out this writeup from Motorcycle Classics.
This example (VIN: 63H3009) is claimed to be well-restored, though the speedometer doesn’t work. Everything else is said to function, but the seller notes that there are two weld repairs that are documented in the listing photos. Because the speedo is non functional, the indicated mileage of 15,395 is not accurate. Find this Sprint for sale in San Francisco, California with bidding up to $2,025 and the reserve not yet met
