Considered by many classic Triumph fans as the best year of the Bonneville, the 1970 was the last year before Triumph switched to the oil-in-frame design. This one’s been restored…though the Astral Red/Silver “color scheme on the tank was accidental but the paint laid down so well that it will ride on the bike unless the new owner wants it changed.”
The seller acquired this (VIN: BD42667 T120R) from a used parts collector and took it on as a restoration project, “using 90% of the original bike including the frame, sheet metal, and power plant.” Since then, just 3 break-in miles have been put on it – the chassis has covered about 6,800 in total.
The engine rebuild included new rings, bearings, valve guides, and cams. It’s offered with a clean California title on planned-non-op registration. Find this Bonnie for sale in Dana Point, California for $9,750 (I know the site was $13,750 but the owner of CMC has let me know that the price has dropped if you act quick) here on Classic Motorcycle Consignments.
