Post Listing Update: This CT70H did not meet reserve despite 39 bids up to $3,950.
For many CT70 enthusiasts, the “H” models were desirable as they came with 4-speed transmissions and a manual clutch. So this should be an interesting auction to follow as this specific example was recently restored and it’s just about like new.
Built in January of 1972, this CT70H has been a display piece in the seller’s house since it was completely restored. Highlights of the work include a repaint of the bodywork and wheels in addition to rechroming several parts and installation of several new OEM pieces. All aluminum trim was polished and the motor was torn down for inspection. Because the bike had been sitting a while, some pitting was noted on the cylinder walls so the engine was bored out. Per the seller, the restoration was done by a “retired Honda technician.” It’s never been run so you’ll need to install a battery and some fuel before you break in the motor.
